the blade in question: https://www.amazon.com/TACRAY-Foldable-Stainless-Anti-skidding-Ergonomic/dp/B0CHDRWBRB/
they make a 4.4" version, which is STILL illegal to carry outside of a bag in NYC and a lot of US states. https://www.amazon.com/TACRAY-Foldable-Stainless-Anti-skidding-Ergonomic/dp/B0CHDRWBRB but longer blades are allowed in especially hunting states. Check your state laws, don't get fucked.
brandishing these things in public around law enforcement will absolutely get you into Hot Water at best (NYC turbo felony) in most US States. Getting frisked for other reasons and having them find it, too.
DO NOT BRING THESE THROUGH NYC OUTSIDE OF A BAG.
ive been reading a lot about camping gear and there are absolutely people who haul a whole mobile kitchen to their campsite, folding chef's knife included
personally im a backpacker at heart and mostly just eat dry goods and rehydrated glop
so my motivation is actually that my friends don't let me sharpen their knives, but ask me to cook for them at their house, and I need something that can just live in my bag when i travel to them
