I mean so is every single modular power supply ever made, you cannot safely use any cable on any other supply than the one it came with, even if it's from the same brand, because these companies inexplicably refuse to come up with a standard for absolutely no reason. At least this is foolproof, if you have a cable with this connector on it I promise you it's going to be safe to use lmao
Just to be on the safe side, we can put our entire logo on that connector-grid as blankout pins.
I thought these were just weird power supplies supplies for enterprise/company computers a corporation would buy. Then I looked inside my dads computer and found one of them, so I guess I was wrong
...is your dad using a PC from 2006 or did they use these much longer than expected
He got the computer from one of my uncles. Dad does graphics design work, yet that computer was rocking a nvidia quadro card, so I can only assume that PC was built with what ever the hell was lying around. When we went to replace the GPU (the poor quadro didn't have enough vram to run stable) we also had to replace the PSU since I think it lacked the PCIE cables to power the new card.
alright that’s a knee jerk reaction
Thinking about it, this could actually be supremely handy for field techs since swapping a power supply is generally an annoying process.
Okay I’m coming around on this.
the entire bundle of cables for this ATX PSU detaches from the power supply with a single massive connector
Somebody made a bargain with The Fae for a modular power supply.
