Funny answer: You are 100% correct and New Garfield now owns a cannon

I had to double check Wikipedia, apparently:

In the United States it is expressed in hundredths of an inch; in the United Kingdom in thousandths; and elsewhere in millimeters. For example, a US "45 caliber" firearm has a barrel diameter of roughly 0.45 inches (11.43mm).
0.20" caliber (5mm) is miniature, 20mm caliber is just over the upper end of gun ammo, 20" caliber (508mm) is absurd and indeed bigger than the Yamato's (460mm).
