Yes! Or just “Spaghetti with meat sauce” if we need to specify in contrast to other types of spaghetti dishes.

I've been saying this to my spouse for the last month instead of just 'spaghetti' because I just thought it was funny and heard it somewhere....... I had no idea it was regional, but I definitely may have picked it up from some kind of british media...

see im just appalled you called it "spag bol" and not "spag bog," which im pretty sure is another one of those weird regional things
"Bolognese" is not a known word in the US. And so because they never called it "spaghetti bolognese" they never had to shorten it. And WHY is "bolognese" unknown? Probably because they can't pronounce it.
