The closest is Milling machine simulator AKA Milling Machine 3D Simulation with the Lathe Machine DLC, which annoyingly, isn't directly linked off the game's main page on Steam. (Presumably, because Career mode isn't complete for it.)
It only allows you to export as .obj and .stl though (besides the game's proprietary format), so might not be suitable for your relative's purpose.
Free operation mode for both machines is complete. (Though the UI is a little goofy.)
