i posted about this in private on fedi, but i should probably come clean over here too...
i'm working on a video game.
just a small one, but still. i know there's too many video games out there, and i'm just becoming part of the problem again -- i've been clean for years, but i fell off the wagon when i wanted to prove a point about how easy an effect was to implement, and then there was a game jam going whose deadline hadn't passed, and things just... kind of kept escalating from there, you know?
all the old habits came flooding back. making an asset loading system, geometric transforms, writing out a player movement controller that feels satisfying, just like when i first got hooked on the stuff in my teens.
anyway, i hope my followers here can be patient and understanding about it, but i understand if people want to unfollow me for becoming a g*medev again.
"wait... what if i did all the rendering at compile-time in a const fn"
