you are a full and complete human being, not someone else's content monkey or a pollutant on the timeline. you do not have to hold your feelings inside and let them fester for other people's comfort. you do not have to do things that dont work for you. you do not have to spend months letting people play hot potato with your life. its ok to be honest and be direct with what you need, and its ok to be so desperate and confused that all you can do is take a shot in the dark.

I don't understand the vitriol people have against venting. Sure, I agree that Discord server shouldn't have #vent, because they are hard to moderate, but on social media? Just unfollow me or block me if I bother you. What is this "good vibe only" bullshit?
Someone giving me a like or leaving a comment on my post feels good. It doesn't solve the problem, and yes I don't want people to feel obligated and yes it can become unhealthy, but so can a lot of things. I was happy when someone suggested a solution, or just gave a like. It's not something I can get from a diary.
I truly believe people tend to be uncomfortable with "negative" emotions. Talking about them helps. It allows us to be more connected to our emotions, to be more human. So the anger against venting goes against my values.
