One of the reasons I started collecting laserdiscs is that I'll often get the film scratches, grain, and cue marks that are removed from later editions of films. The physicality of film is part of those old movies for me.
Every time I see The Wire or some other 4:3 HBO product stretched out to 16:9 I feel the urge to kill again rising.
