great how cohost showed so much promise initially but then cohost shotgunned itself in the foot by letting transmisogynists run amok and now it's days are numbered all by deliberate obtuse design. that's great
It shows a problem in general, at least to me.
A lot of people can say anything about how much they want a better world, but when push comes to shove, they aren't willing to sacrifice anything.
This is Social Media's biggest footbullet, and maybe organisation shouldn't happen on it.
I would say that IRC would be better, as it tends to be a bit more ephemeral. Granted, messages aren't encrypted by default, but if you use TLS/SSL, then that's not an issue.
