Rowan, Friendo, I spent the last of my paper run money on a boxed copy of TFC*, Lost my shoe trying to get on the garage roof, and got a horrible gash in my lip when I tried to fit the entire lip of a glass in my mouth on the same day! You know I didnt get my shit together until I was a teenager.

the thought of being able to buy TFC in stores is so wild to me 😭
now, getting a copy of it on a burned CD from my friend's house, on the other hand...
Sadly I think the big box has been lost to time, but the disk is still here in its jewel case along with my other 90's games. I don't think I ever played a single match online with it though 😔
That said it did have Absolute Redemption on the disc (which is why my brain exploded when you posted that clip of a headcrab zombie popping out of a bin). And when I put the CD Key in steam, it activated the platinum collection, giving me copies of every goldSrc game.. including Blue Shift which I never owned.
So yeah, a real curio in every sense of the word.
