three kernel panics in a short period means getting in touch with tech support i guess. honestly wasn't feeling working today anyway so the timing's good
lol at this support process. i spent 10 minutes filling out a laggy automated chat survey that led me to completely unrelated knowledgebase articles. when the bot decided i needed a human, the message it sent to support is that i had "unspecified hardware issues". i dunno, i think the survey specified them pretty well!
then support had me explain the issue, before having me fill out a ticket explaining the issue again. then they told me to do a hard reboot and closed the ticket. hope that fixed things!!!
lol a guy at work is asking for feedback on his llm support bot's responses. i gave some fairly critical feedback because it feels like one of those applications whose main job is to annoy you before you talk to a human. turns out he's the same guy who made the bot that annoyed me before talking to a person earlier this month
edit: oh no developing his bot is a one-man operation that was promoted from frontline support trying to relieve some of the load from a support team that's under-resourced after layoffs. i feel a little bad about being so critical (it was all entirely polite and constructive, i try not to be an asshole). in my defense he used @here in a big channel to ask for feedback
