we're getting a tree taken down which is a weird sad feeling. i enjoy its shade and the sound of wind in its leaves and just on principle don't like killing trees but also it's near end of life and poses a significant risk of falling on our house, so what can you do. probably we'll plant a tree that's a better neighbor in its place
