it's depressing how much perfectly good hardware is now garbage because developers want to use the new browser/os features. i mean, we all know planned obsolescence is a thing, but even computers/phones have been 'fast enough' for quite a while, if not for the waste inherent in the industry. i just don't really think most apps/website experiences have improved dramatically enough to justify the cadence of hardware upgrades
