so here's a dumb problem i have:

i removed the top/fan assembly of my AC unit to clean inside as well as one of the side panels (before realizing i could vacuum through the panels just fine).

when reassembling, i just can't get the screw holes in the top to align with the screws on the sides. with great effort it seated properly onto the sides as far as i can tell and there's not any wiggle, but i'm like half a centimeter off being able to get a screw in.

what should i do? it feels solid without the screws and sounds fine when i run it, so i'm tempted to just forget about the problem. another alternative could be drilling new holes where the top sits now. or i could call a professional but it feels a little ridiculous. advice welcome

so far i haven't gotten it to give me a single answer that's even close to as good as searching the wiki for the information i need. it can't even link back to the wiki page so you can't really check if it's right or wrong about things either.

so far the most useful (paraphrased) question / answer was: "Does support JDK 17?" "Someone made a ticket about upgrading their app from 11 to 17 so, yes!" pretty ass-backward way to learn a fact

this seems to be the usual story with LLMs: it's incredibly easy to make a pretty compelling demo, but in practical use it's much harder to make it useful.

in the meantime i guess i'll be a good sport and keep trying it and clicking not useful on every answer
