i didn't post photos earlier because i wasn't having a great time looking at them suffering - i think i was too worried about overwatering that i underwatered them for like a week after the transplant and it took quite a while for them to recover. you can see how the leaves are a lot smaller than you might expect since they dropped so many and had to regrow them

that said, they're really humming along now! dunno how many peppers will get fully ripe given their late start but they're growing and i can always eat em green, so i'm happy

here's an example that I think many miss: many public universities have an extension office that provides local, science-based information for public benefit. i mostly know my local extension (the university of minnesota) and regularly use them as a reference for local expert advice on gardening, home maintenance and beekeeping. they even offer services like soil testing!

they offer lots of in person instruction as well, but their online resources are great
