Recently I was reminded that I owned a copy of PICO-8 that I had not once even booted up, so I decided today to take a break from writing and use it to make a mockup of a project I'm tentatively calling "Interview with a Human."
It's a dialog-driven microgame set at some as-yet nebulous point in Transliterated in which the viewpoint character... interviews a (former) human or two. It partly exists as an excuse to interrogate my own characters... but also because I honestly kinda miss the dialog system from The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and approximating that as an entire game seems like a neat experiment.
I have no idea if this will pan out, but I'm proud of even this little goofy mockup I cobbled together in seven hours on a platform I'd literally never touched before, so it's absolutely worth sharing!
