after slack (the chat app for businesses, mostly) adding tinder mechanics, nothing surprises me anymore
they added a mode called "catch up" where your unread messages and channels appear as cards and you can swipe through them, either marking them as read by swiping right, or keeping them unread by swiping left.
Meets the letter of the law by having a single input to reject cookies, subverts the spirit of the law by making the relationship between input and outcome just a little less obvious than it could be.
Site has some uh, creative word choices to match their creative UI choices.
I get that English isn't their first language, and it's normal to make some mistakes. But maybe if they'd gone with a standard UI they'd have been able to copy/paste some boilerplate legalese instead of assuring me that they'll "use cookies only for ensure that our services will they work properly" should I decide to "Swipe to Left".
