things just keep getting more difficult for my partner and I: more medical bills, increased food prices, emergency vet visits, medication side effects, and life-changing job offers that fall through because the company is trash. this month, I will have been out of work for two years, as folks who follow me have likely noticed. the alternative plans we made when we did a previous GoFundMe last year didn't pan out for a variety of reasons and our debt has piled back up, so here we are again, asking for help to get us closer to getting our ledgers back in the black so that these numbers stop triggering my formerly-homeless partner's PTSD

in addition, our little man Benzo is going to the vet again tomorrow because his vertebrae condition is acting up, and we have no idea what the damage is going to look like this time

the Gofundme link above covers most of the situation, but doesn't talk about certain things to try to avoid harassment on that platform: in addition to being disabled, my partner and I are both queer, and my partner is a (legal) immigrant, both of which make the current political situation incredibly frightening, and we also want to have room on our credit cards to escape Texas if things suddenly get worse
