With Cohost shutting down and me starting up a couple new blogs, a Discord server, new microblogging accounts, an RSS feed, and so on, I've been fantasizing about having one icon on my desktop labelled something like "INITIALIZE COMMAND CENTER" that I could double-click and it would launch a Firefox browser with a bunch of individual tabs for Bluesky, Discord, my website dashboard, etc open already so I don't have to go through and click all the bookmarks individually like a caveman.
This feels like it should be trivial to accomplish. Is there tool or applet somewhere that could accomplish this goofy little task for me?
- You can set your homepage to Custom URLs and make it a bunch of tabs separated bya pipe (
|). Easiest way to do this is to open everything up, and in the same window, go to settings, home, homepage and new windows, custom URLs... and click "Use current pages"- this of course does mean that you will not be able to Restore previous windows/tabs, at least not without workarounds
- theres a whole bunch of different browsers trying to bring in features taking it away from the chrome-style extreme minimalism we've become used to. i haven't them for very long lol but i think vivaldi, opera, webflow might have different ways of achieving this
