I was just telling my partner about this the other day. People go on pilgrimages to go hear the note change, there's often a big crowd. It's one of those Things You Do on a musician's trip to Europe
My favorite tidbit is that they're building the organ as they go. After all, if you only need a few notes at a time, just add those when they come up.
my favorite type of this kind of thing is Failing: A Very Difficult Piece for Solo String Bass https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9P8C6-XqaNs where the musician basically has to give a lecture while playing increasingly difficult music, while continuing to sound essentially normal while speaking
