It was pretty funny when you fall for Patches trap in the volcano zone. You follow a trail of rainbow gems to the edge of a cliff and in a cutscene, as you're peering over he kicks you off.

Oh, one time a twitch streamer was playing a VR mod, and I suggested he go in to the lake near the start. He got a full face of dragon descending on him.

I think it's Leyndell Catacombs that has a layout where it puts you in a very same-looking place multiple times, where you can't initially be clear whether you've looped or not. In I believe the second loop it has a bunch of the enemies from the first loop playing dead, so you assume it's just their corpses until they get up and attack you.

i think the chest that sends you to the crystal cave right near the beginning of the game has to be it for me. you can reasonably get stuck there within 5 minutes of being in the open world. also the fact that there are so few trapped chests in the game makes it funnier to me somehow
