the funniest part about that total shit movie is how much it relies on the anecdote about charlie parker getting a cymbal chucked on the floor near him as a joke when he was sloshed and playing badly, but in whiplash-world it’s actually that he was bad and jo jones threw a cymbal with Malicious Anger and Intent to Harm
