Man, it's really funny just how much stuff got bolted on and awkwardly injected in there afterwards. Like, you'll enter an early area for the plot, and see a bunch of goofy LED screens with one of the bros on there because they needed to put this community photo contest somewhere early and easy to get to.

But that's still not nearly as hard to ignore as the part of the story you reach shortly afterwards where they go "And Then The Movie Happened. Here's an awkward montage with footage from that." And you just have to accept that this is how things shook out. The whole thing is a bit of a mess scattered across several forms of media, and hopefully you're still down for whatever the main game is trying to give you in spite of the bad luck, planning, and arguably, the writing itself. And of course that also depends of when you're playing the game, and if you checked out that other media.

Or maybe I'm overthinking it again. Either way, it's really damn fun to hang with the bros again. It's fun to engage with these chunks of action RPG open world gameplay, and all the secrets and activities that they tried to inject in here. It's flawed, but still really interesting and compelling. I still really do like this oddity, and I wish Luminous Productions had better luck and whatnot between this and Forspoken. And—

Oh right. I was supposed to finish Forspoken, among other things. Damn, I am not good at finishing things. Like this post.
