audio samples? what kind? & what software are u using them in? maybe i can help
right now i'm using an mp3 sample of the ppg theme song in logic pro... just trying to get the tempo right without distorting the clip too much. i have a sampler software instrument ive been messing around with but cant get to do what i want. so just tryin to do it the hard way now x_x i never use samples so im just fully lost
time stretching samples without pitching them up or down is always really tricky. i would either embrace the distortion or allow the pitch shift and build everything else around that
try messing around with logic's time shift algorithms and seeing which ones sound the best for that particular sample. for what youre doing i suspect audio editing is the best approach; samplers are nice if youre doing complicated sequencing but otherwise i think editing always ends up better
