jesus christ meta just straight up takes all your content and feeds it to ai. like on instagram theres a buried policy about how they do this. someone posted a video about how to disable it but the option they showed isnt there anymore and im assuming its extremely buried in the privacy section which is unimaginably convoluted. im screaming like i need insta for my music stuff its how ive gotten all my gigs but this is making me want to delete my profile. if anyone can figure out how to disable the content usage please let me know

As far as I can tell they're showing the option to some people and not others - I think it might be based on countries. The people I've seen who have the opt out were all based in the EU, so I think it's an EU data privacy law thing.

I wonder if you could get access to the opt out just by happening to visit it from a European IP address...

So you can always try using this link if you have a linked FB account: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/1266025207620918

The only real issue with it is that depending on where you live, it can be really hit or miss. For some countries, when you select the delete option, it just automatically does it. For unfortunate people like myself, it seems like it actually wants proof that you've already been fed into the machine. Which is just... why are they doing this to us 🫠
