change your strings my friends!!!! most of them have a steel core but are wrapped in a thick layer of pure nickel, where your fingees go. gold strings sound better too imo. and are not terribly expensive
edit: i also recommend cobalt strings!!! my partner uses them and they sound amazing. i just looked it up and they are nickel free as well. i will probably use those when i restring next
