I love these failure modes. It looks like bit 3 is being set to zero on every fourth byte. Incredible hardware problem: fun to decipher but you're no closer to having a working computer once you solve the puzzle.
iirc internet weirdos were able to track this down to a specific known hardware issue in some model of graphics card or similar
