You have a lives system like in Ace Attorney but instead of having to present the right evidence you have to learn the killer’s schedule and interupt them at the right place and time to pester them about more details of the case. If you go to the wrong place you lose a Columbo. Later levels have upper class socialites with incomprehnsible social schedules at various clubs that you have to figure out. The killer has an irritation meter and they slip up and give more clues the higher it is so you have to pick dialogue options that piss them off as much as possible while maintaining the act.
