Caoimhe

Hard to say! I never really considered any other names. I landed on Caoimhe straight away. I do have other names I’m fond of though: Mallaidh, Ciara, Aoife, but Caoimhe just felt like the right one. It would have been Irish anyway, not least because I was going a kick of trying to relearn Irish when I was starting transition. Though I do sometimes regret not picking a name with a fada so I would have more opportunity to get self-righteous about systems that won’t accept names with diacritic marks lol. Not sure what name I would have gone for with that restriction. Maybe Siobhán and gone by Shiv? I like Shiv as a nickname lol
