Lots of small notes here for y'all!
The Holy Empire of Ionia is the nation the game takes place in. Although outlying regions are more independent minded, its power projection extended to those areas also. Given the Greek influence on much of the game's names, the localization was an obvious one over, say, 'Aionia'.
Its capital is the Holy City of Thaksis. You could localize タクシス (Takushisu) a number of ways, including the IRS-approved Taxis, but Thaksis felt like a good solution to keep the pronunciation intact without having the name look so... silly?
Now the big change is the Yggdrasilian Palace. In fact, I'll drop a read more here just because this might go on a bit.
