One thing that's been really fun about restarting riptide manor again is this time i'm sticking visually very close to the last version, most of the major changes cleaning up the game logic and generally making scripts more concise.
The upshot of this is that in four days i've made huge progress towards getting back where i was. Everything's going so much faster now that i know what i'm doing!
Sometimes i like to roam around the testing level and look for interesting tile variations.
I'm using a shader to blend between a few different tile textures, and sometimes the cracks come out looking really nice.
