Bleed is a buildup of bonus damage, inflicted along with every hit, that halves before every enemy turn
Venom is a buildup of damage over time, that hits and then halves before every enemy turn.
I haven't fully tested out the implications of these two systems, but i believe the result is that point-for-point Venom deals double its inflicted amount as damage over time, and thus Bleed will be more effective whenever you can hit the enemy more than twice for every turn it takes.
