A few Mandelbulb3d sketches for a worldbuilding idea.
My strategy has basically just been to stare at the mutator tool and pick whichever of the options looks best.
Of these, each has some aspects of what i want:
- The first has the closest details and fine structure, with almost sand-dune-like mountains and carved valleys
- The second has the best image composition, wrapping around a central focus with larger structures looming on the horizon
- The third captures the distance and enclosure that i want, as if the fractals extend in all directions forever
