Sure, i'll do a trend! This one's been going around this week, though of course on twitter and such there's not much actual long-form discussion of what the inspirations mean so i'm giving that a go.

I feel like i could potentially have picked some more direct lines but i got this thought in my head and it really paints a nice picture of where this game came from.

or: The Legend of Zelda fangame i never made

All the way back in 2016, maybe even earlier, i came up with an idea for a LoZ fangame.
There was an artist on tumblr, who i heard later there was some discourse around which i never looked deeply into, who posted several pieces of concept art for a hypothetical game featuring Zelda as the main character.

...I'm going to be honest, that was the only important aspect about the inspiration, alongside simply liking the art style.
I'm absolutely sure everyone and their dogfriend has had an idea for a Zelda game starring Zelda, and i'm no different, but there were a few specific images that got me thinking.
One featured Zelda swinging a big heckin sword, one of her using the bow of light, and a couple outlining ideas about different categories of magic.
What i came up with was The Legend of Zelda: Mark of the Gods.
