why do companies even bother with assessments anymore when they have to know that everyone just lies on them anyway? the test encourages people to tell the truth ("there are no wrong answers :)))))"), but then i "fail" the assessment because i didn't lick the boot hard enough.

idk it's just like, if everyone knows that to get a job you have to lie on the "how good of a worker are you" quiz then why even have it at all? it seems like an arbitrary "gotcha" step rather than an actual assessment of one's ability to work. but what do i know, i'm not some megabillionaire with stores in practically every city with a name
