Hello, followers new and old. I am home alone for the weekend and must keep away from the brain spiral. Experiment:

Please recommend for me a film if one comes to mind. If I haven't seen it, and if I watch and enjoy it, I'll post about it. If I have already seen it, or if I don't watch it, or if I don't enjoy it, you simply won't hear about it. It's all good. Movies are crazy huh

i’ve enjoyed all four of the movies Joel Haver has released on youtube so far this year. i also can’t not recommend Paprika (2006) dir. Satoshi Kon and A Serious Man (2009) dir Ethan & Joel Coen, probably my two faves

Love both of those big felms. I haven't seen Paprika in a long time, but actually I should get around to watching another Kon. I've only seen pap and Millennium Actress, which is a big one for me.

I watched the Joel Haver one with the guy who does the acting problem. That was sort of haunting. I enjoyed it, but I don't know if I can handle more of that right now.

Some of my favorites are: Stalker (sci fi), Kelly's Heroes (war comedy drama), The Beast of War (war drama), Contact (science fiction drama), Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise (fictional space race anime with excellent world building), Forbidden Planet (early sci fi, prototypical of Star Trek), Loving Vincent (painted animation), The Old Man and the Sea (paint on glass animation), Andromeda Strain (sci fi drama), and Clue (comedy based on the board game).
