A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism is as far as I can tell the latest in the A-Train transport management series coming out of Artdink. I bought it on a whim on the Steam sale because I've had my eye on "A-Train PC Classic" but then I saw that this one had characters designed by Yuji Himukai and 3D environments so I went for it instead.

spent about 7 hours failing the crusader kings 3 tutorial (well, to be fair, the tutorial was very helpful and straightforward, i was failing the situation immediately after that) with progressively bigger failson heirs until all my vassals got sick of my shit and revolted. decided to look over to see how the rest of europe was doing and saw this. Swedish Jersualem is the main attraction but writing this post I only just noticed the Two Estonias (chiefdom and kingdom, apparently).

getting my twice-a-year urge to really get into a strategy game for a little bit... i ran some heroes of might & magic 3 campaigns recently and while that game is very fun it doesn't quite align with what i want (territory control feels really weird & the game has so many unique Things the knowledge ceiling is basically infinite, also i don't really like how high level play looks). i could fire up another brigandine campaign because that game actually solves the problems i'm having with homm3 right now but i also have xcom2 and ck3 which i have never gotten around to... there's just too many computer games out there
