Even though it's annoying when people claim that retro games are archaic and thoughtlessly designed, it's equally myopic to claim that modern games are inferior and lack some essential quality that the "classics" supposedly possessed. (Plays Golvellius for the MSX for 2 hours) Actually old games are just better

Any game where you're just a small guy running around a colourful overworld is really what it's all about tbqh. Also most games these days don't have a weird guy named Randar who heals you. Really a huge failing as a society I think.
