I realize that this is especially unintuitive for me. For whatever reason I'm just not able to conjure the words to convey thoughts about a story or a piece of media that has moved me. I think it's a skill that can be hone and a skill that some inherently embody through so much repetitious practice. There are definitely songs and movies and tv shows that i would like to write about, but fall short of Finding The Words to illustrate those feelings. I like the cartoonish image, it's really a meme actually, of a see-through view of displaying a block of text and a speech bubble containing a jumbled incohesive heap of nonsense. And that's how I feel!! I have the words in my head, but when they never come out in a way I like or imagine.
In that sense, I guess it is kind of like visual art. Like visual art, writing is an acquired skill that you hone as well. Your vision of how a piece will look or feel in your mind will never look the way it does on paper exactly. The only thing you can do is continue to work at that skill. And maybe eventually you'll reach of satisfaction in your executed vision.
