i think the thing that bothers me the most about people who r like "why would i use cohost if i cant build a following with no algorithm?" isnt necessarily the idea that people want to rethink the idea of Building A Following, but the fact that a lot of us just want an online space where we can hang out
it makes sense that the loudest voices are the ones that seek the biggest following, but also, shoutout to everyone who logs in online just to vibe and doesnt really want tons of followers
ive talked before about how "amassing tons of followers" and "my posts spreading well beyond how i can predict/going viral" is directly against my own values as someone who is openly plural online and has been cyberstalked before, but a lot of how i approach the internet comes from an interest in just Kinda Vibing and not even my own damage
