The tag is "#Discover Teas promo post" if you don't want to see me talk about sales and promo stuff.

I've been too depressed by current events to advertise much, but here's this month's newsletter, everything mentioned here goes at least through 11:59pm Eastern/UTC-4 on Saturday, July 6th. You can always browse my teas online at DiscoverTeas.com, send me a tea ask in my inbox (#Discover Teas answers for answers), or use this form to request a custom blend.

    Key points:
  • One of the most wide-ranging sales of the year, with lower prices on almost 50 teas plus some summer cold-brewing aids and my eBook on fun ways to incorporate chilled tea into treats like mocktails (or cocktails), DIY freeze pops, etc. (June is National Iced Tea Month)
  • There's a guide on various ways to make iced tea on the website, which I should probably make more visible/easy to find at some point
  • I didn't announce this earlier on here but 10% of online retail sales in June (not counting sales tax and shipping) will be donated to the Black Trans Advocacy Coalition and the Transgender Law Center, this has now been extended to count all sales through July 6th. You don't have to select anything, I calculate it myself from all sales during the period.
  • I had a whole thing in last month's newsletter about how you can get coupon codes if you take certain actions for hope, from no-cost ones like signing various petitions to donations to various causes. For the no-cost ones, send a screenshot of what you did to orders@discoverteas.com and I'll e-mail you a $5 coupon code for each action you take (so you can stack them or share with a friend). Coupon codes are valid for one year from date of issue!

If you're able to make a donation to one of the listed causes, send a screenshot to orders@discoverteas.com and receive a coupon code for either $5 or 15% of your donation, whichever is higher. Please block out any sensitive details, especially card numbers!

This month a couple new no-cost actions have been added, and I listed some causes you can donate to in continuing Juneteenth solidarity (Black Alliance for Just Immigration and The Movement For Black Lives), but other Black-led orgs serving Black communities also count, as well as donating to Black mutual aid (@sharksonaplane put together a list of funds if you need a place to start but again, help who and where you can).

  • The no-cost actions I added this month both have to do with protesting mask bans; I wrote up a thing in that section about how mask bans are not just exclusionary but also—since the ones in NY and LA are direct reactions to pro-Palestine protests—an attack on our right to protest. This part isn't a promo but I want people to know it's there because I think it's important to oppose mask bans no matter where you are and not just assume that being in a non-conservative city/state will save you.

Oh and as always, you can enter EGGBUGBUD at checkout to save 10% on your order and also get a silly lil eggbug sketch on your invoice (I am not an artist).
