If a hard enough slap is theoretically able to cook a piece of chicken via transferred kinetic energy, and if a mantis shrimp can deliver a concussive strike with its forelimbs, then you mean to tell me that with repeated strikes, a mantis shrimp could fry this rice?

yes but there's also a speed with which a chicken could punch a perfect chicken-shaped hole in your shrimp while coming out the other side partially uncooked. truly a land of contrast.
In the Discord chat we were talking about this, there was mention of using the shrimp to strike the underside of a pan with the rice in it to have that heat up. For the right size and style of pan, I think it would hold together well enough, potentially?
