The title pretty much says it all: if you ever wanted to live the virtual life of a driver for Hakodate, Hokkaido's tram service, this game has you covered—they're endorsed & supervised by the Hakodate City tram authority, got the authentic announcer voice, implemented all the nitpicky specifics about the local traffic signal cycles, etc. The game only contains a section of the full route right now, and only a single tram, but they intend to support the game for 3~5 years with more content: not just more vehicles and fuller routes but also real-time weather and accurate uniforms and passengers real-world tourist patterns and a driver rating system and all sorts of extremely fine details that seem like they'd be completely imperceptible to anyone who doesn't actually live in Hakodate.
For Densha de Go heads here, judging by the video footage posted, the current version of this game seems to already include part of the main line featured in that game. I've done that line probably dozens of times over the years (Ryojouhen tends to be my go-to Densha de Go game when I just wanna relax, even over the newest game), so it's a little surreal to see someone other than Taito take a stab at portraying it, especially in a non-wintery season. Might well pick this up myself eventually since that line probably is my favorite in Ryojouhen; I only pray the sim elements aren't too hardcore because I am but a simple man who can only handle so much. It's still the miracle of a lifetime I somehow 100 percented Tokyo Bus Guide about two years ago and I dunno that I can take more than that. 😩
