Reminder:

If you are editing in Davinci Resolve and realize that the "Edited" text isn't disappearing when you hit save, don't panic.

Close your timeline. That will fix it. Anything else will cause data loss.

I don't use Resolve but this evoked a really keen sensation of software dread

i mean adobe premiere just Closes. you're working and then it is simply not there anymore. at least i've never lost any work with resolve.
