After Speed Power Gunbike, developer Inti Creates doubled down on anime with Love & Destroy on PlayStation 1. Described by one Jeremy Parish as: "harem anime meets Neon Genesis Evangelion meets Omega Boost," the mission-based mech game requires a Pacific Rim-esque link with an anime girl to operate your robot.
The game's director noted that the hardest thing in development was being away from coworkers, due to having no time to bathe 🤢 Despite dripping in style, romance options and featuring tons of cutscenes, the slower paced game also didn't hit.
