This was pastrami, jarlsberg cheese, and fried sauerkraut on rye. Instead of adding mustard directly to the sandwich, I made a mayo/brown mustard mix to brush the bread with for frying. The mustard also helped give the bread a nice golden color.
Came out taller than planned because I got a little obsessive about making my layers even with inconveniently-shaped ingredients, but it still came out hot throughout and no less delicious, and it made for some great food porn.
