I caught up on Dengeki Daisy a decade ago, probably my third romance series I ever read after Ouran High School Host Club and Fruits Basket, and the “Tortured Hacker Secretly Protecting The Orphan Younger Sister Of His Deceased Best Friend Who He Betrayed” romance/thriller setting was enough for it to permanently lodge in my brain after all these years.
I’m going back to it to see how it ended, and while the pacing is kinda a mess, the whiplash of every plot being foreshadowed in page one of each chapter and being resolved 75% of the way through is honestly kind of refreshing. 00’s understanding of how computers work and what “hacking” is rules, plot critical Cyndi Lauper and discussions of Red Hot Chili Peppers also rule, it might be nostalgia but this series holds up for me
Couldn’t post photos first time around but Teru absolutely whips as a protagonist.
