if you're going to get an rss catcher and subscribe to blogs you should know that mastodon accounts have built in rss if you want to keep up with anyone who posts there without dealing with the clusterfuck aspects of the network
as does bluesky, if you similarly want to keep up with anyone who posts there without dealing with the clusterfuck aspects of the network

Sometimes these RSS feeds are difficult to find (especially blue sky), so what I do is open developer tools and go to element inspector to open up the HTML. Then, I do a find/search for "rss" and if there is an rss link the search will pick it up!
