Bad X-Files parodies always go "Mulder sees something explicitly supernatural but as soon as Scully enters the room it gets conveniently deus ex machina'd away like an episode of Phineas and Ferb so she can continue not believing in any of it."
Then you actually watch the show and Scully's actually on board for whatever weird shit happens from basically day one, it's just never her first guess. But also, because she lives in an insane world, it always is aliens or mutants or ghosts and never, like, a gas leak or a weather balloon. So really at this point she should probably know better.
It kind of makes me wonder if for every case we get to see there are three that happen offscreen where Mulder is like "This explosion was clearly caused by Mothman" and Scully's already found the lighter and gasoline can.
