some of them have address labels of a person with a japanese name that lives around here, so they probably brought all these recordings over from japan when they moved here, and then they got donated to a thrift store and got sent immediately to the clearance center lol
i've watched one (1) tape and it contains some episodes of the serial drama series "火曜サスペンス劇場" ("tuesday suspense theatre"), i'm hoping some of these tapes can be uploaded to a youtube channel or something without (a lot of) fear of copyright takedowns (or at least maybe some commercials?), since i have quite a few tapes of this nature from various U.S. TV networks from a few different periods and it'd be nice to have an easy pet project that intersects nicely with thrifting
